Hi, I’ve been a RMT for 15 years and graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2009. Having gained valuable experience working in several multi-disciplinary clinics in BC and Yukon, I am very content to have my own practice in Port Alberni as of October 2022.
I respectfully acknowledge living and working as an uninvited resident on the unceded traditional territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations of the Nuu-chah-nulth People. I strive to learn how I can offer an open heart, safety, and humility as a RMT in a treatment setting for all of my clients. *All body shapes and gender identities are welcome here.
My primary massage therapy modalities include client education, myofascial release, general Swedish massage, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, muscle energy technique, stretching, movement, and range of motion. I have taken continuing education courses in Indigenous cultural safety and humility, therapeutic movement and exercise, pregnancy massage, pelvic health, treatment of shoulder conditions, and others. In August 2023, I completed my degree in Health Science at Thompson Rivers University.
While working within your comfort level, I use enough pressure to create the necessary tissue changes to reach your treatment goals and decrease your symptoms.
When not working, I am often hiking or scheming my next long-distance hike. I also love restful and rejuvenating activities like naps and cold plunges. If I’m being extra mindful, I might even be reading a book.
Welcome~
